Conservation Commission tackles minutes backlog with tax abatement worker and consultant support.

RANDOLPH — Conservation Commission approves remediation of six years of incomplete meeting minutes using no-cost tax abatement volunteers. Acting Chair Carl Brown and members Keith Asack, Fran Blanchard, Chris Kimball, and Pamela Iloabachie voted unanimously on January 15, 2026 to enlist Administrator Joseph P. Dunn, Jr. and consultant Jim Pasman to construct compliant minutes from Zoom and AI recordings dating to 2019.
The Commission also approved a revised agenda template standardizing language and format, and approved seven sets of previously incomplete minutes (October 2025 through July 2025) with Pasman-guided revisions, tabling only the December 2025 minutes for further work. Pasman reminded members that recordings and AI transcripts do not satisfy Massachusetts Open Meeting Law requirements; minutes must be a concise, accurate summary with named roll-call votes recorded by name through June 30, 2027.
