RANDOLPH — Community Preservation Committee hears Trinity Church restoration request totaling $154,000. Trinity Episcopal Church representatives Rev. Philip Kuhn and Frank Morrissey presented a proposal to repair rotted attic support beams and gable damage discovered in 2024, with structural engineer drawings completed and three bids obtained.
Separately, a Conservation Commission proposal for a three-phase stream restoration project, beginning with a professional assessment estimated at $50,000, prompted Committee Chair Ronald Lum to question whether CPA funds can legally support maintenance work. Secretary Kristin Erickson will consult the State CPA Coalition on permissible maintenance activities; Town Manager Brian Howard recommended a pre-approval meeting with finance consultants and staff before applications proceed to a vote.
