RANDOLPH — Community Preservation Committee approves $150,000 for playground improvements while denying conservation planning funding. Voting 5-0, the committee approved Tower Hill Playground from the Open Space and Recreation Account, contingent on School Department approval. In a 6-0 vote, it denied a $150,000 Conservation Commission request for a waterway master plan, citing state guidance that CPA funds cannot support planning work.
The committee deferred major Stetson Hall and Town Hall preservation projects to June 25, with Interim Assistant Town Manager Kevin Dumas noting the town needs approximately $2 million in building restoration.
