Board of Health Holds Dangerous Dog Hearing on April 12 Incident

RANDOLPH — Board of Health hears dangerous dog case stemming from April 12 attack. Health Commissioner Gerard Cody, with Town Attorney Christine Griffin and Animal Control Officer Jean Gillan present, conducted a formal hearing May 21 into whether "Mag," an unleashed dog, should be classified as dangerous after attacking "Zeus," a leashed emotional support animal, at Liberty Place Apartments on April 12. "Zeus" sustained severe injuries to the right eye and leg during the five-to-ten-minute altercation; "Mag's" owner Edison McIntosh suffered bite wounds to his fingers requiring stitches and rabies shots.
A written decision is scheduled for June 2 at the Health Department and Town Clerk's office.
