Board of Health approves pool lifeguard variance and housing violations.
Board of Health · Meeting of April 28, 2026
Randolph Board of Health approves lifeguard variance for 13 pools. Acting Chair Patricia Zamor and members Edward Murphy and David Kaplan unanimously granted seasonal pool facilities relief from lifeguard requirements, subject to required warning signage, and voted to close the case at 13 Short Street after cleanup and multiple failed pest control attempts due to occupant obstruction. The board also ordered the basement apartment at 8 Northway Road vacated by June 15 after finding it unfit for human habitation and non-compliant with State Sanitary Code, and approved a new additional trash cart fee of $180 annually for 96-gallon carts effective July 1, 2026.
