Board of Health · Meeting of August 25, 2026

RANDOLPH — The Randolph Board of Health approved prior minutes while hearing updates on environmental enforcement and disease surveillance. The Health Department has notified 35 of 42 tobacco retailers about kratom becoming a Schedule I Controlled Substance, and confirmed removal of nicotine products from the OM Smoke Shop. A black mold case at 3108 Chestnut West was continued to September 29 after the tenant reported recurrence.

An odor complaint at 937 North Main Street involving food service dumpsters and debris was escalated to MassDEP after inspectors found a suspected oil-changing operation. West Nile Virus was detected in five neighboring communities; Randolph's risk level remains low. Commissioner Gerard Cody received a National Environmental Health Association Presidential Citation for environmental health contributions.
